Cosmetic Dentistry at Aesthetic Dental Center of Morris County

Dentistry is about more than just dental fillings and cleanings. Although your oral health is the most important consideration, you always want your teeth to look their best so that you can display that beautiful smile without being self-conscious or embarrassed.

Cosmetic dentistry is concerned with the appearance of your teeth and smile. We have quite a few procedures available to help your teeth really shine. And some dental treatments and procedures help with both your dental health and aesthetic concerns. Let's have a look at some common types of cosmetic dentistry procedures available at Aesthetic Dental Center of Morris County.

Porcelain Dental Veneers

Veneers, particularly the porcelain form, are becoming very popular right now among patients who desire some type of fix for a minor tooth defect like a chipped tooth, gaps between teeth, or discolored teeth.

A dental veneer is a thin shell that we attach to a tooth using dental cement. Porcelain is the material of choice for veneers because it offers superior stain resistant properties along with great durability and amazing cosmetic effect.

At Aesthetic Dental Center of Morris County we have been performing dental porcelain veneers for a number of years, and our patients are happy with the results.

Dental Bonding

Do you have a chipped, decayed, discolored or cracked tooth? We have quite a few treatment options available to select from to correct these types of minor aesthetic issues. Tooth bonding makes a great option if you want to restore your confidence and flash that winning smile again.

Tooth bonding is a procedure in which we apply a cosmetic resin onto the surface of your teeth for repair and aesthetics. This is an extremely simple and inexpensive cosmetic dentistry procedure that can be normally completed in only one office visit.

Dental bonding can correct numerous dental issues, but it is most commonly employed for the correction of chipped or discolored teeth. Other applications for tooth bonding include closing gaps between teeth, altering teeth shape, or helping teeth appear longer.

We begin by carefully selecting the resin shade needed to match the natural color of your tooth. Before we actually attach the bond, we will roughen the surface of the tooth and coat it with a special liquid. This helps to ensure that the bonding material will better adhere to the surface of the tooth.

After preparation is complete, we apply a putty-like resin to your tooth, molding it into the desired shape. Finally, we harden the material using a special ultraviolet light.

Teeth Bleaching

Everyone wants that amazing Hollywood smile, but stained teeth are all too common as we grow older. Consuming foods and beverages like coffee, tea, and red wine can make a white smile a thing of the past. Fortunately, professional teeth whitening can restore the brightness of your teeth and smile.

There are also at-home over the counter whitening kits out there that promise more than they can usually deliver. Our treatments are customized to provide a strong result because, for one thing, we have a higher concentration of hydrogen peroxide in our whitening gels. Our professional techniques also ensure that tooth crevices are treated, unlike some at-home whitening kits.

Dental Implants

Implants serve as both functional and aesthetic dental treatments. They have both the look and function of a natural tooth. Dental implants have exploded in popularity recently because they offer a long-lasting solution to missing teeth.

Three components make up your basic dental implant: a metal post, an abutment and a crown. The process begins with careful treatment planning by one of our general dentists and our oral surgeon Dr. Won-Sang Lee, to make sure that you have a good foundation for your dental implant. Then Dr. Won-Sang Lee would place a titanium post in your jawbone, which fuses around it over the next few months. In a subsequent appointment, we place the abutment onto this post, followed by a dental crown to serve as a replacement tooth.

Dental implants are a superior tooth replacement treatment in the vast majority of cases. Implants can be expected to last for many years when properly cared for, especially since they are free of dental decay due to metal to metal surfaces between components.

I am terrified of the dentist. My experience with the office staff and dentist was wonderful. Dr. Vladimir took his time explaining procedures and helped me to make the best decision regarding my dental plan. The office is beautiful and very clean. Very impressed.

Blown away by my experience at this establishment. Dr. Lee seamlessly extracted two wisdom teeth and felt no pain. The whole staff was beyond cordial and communicative. Looking forward to continuing my care here.
